This wide, shallow burgundian casserole dish is designed for cooking meals that warm the body and soul; short ribs, braised chicken with citrus fruit, roast beef with fresh thyme, pork fillet with whisky and curry and braised duck to name a few.

Emile Henry's innovative, versatile and reliable Burgundy Clay Flame-Top Series are made of an innovative ceramic technology that is remarkably hard and flameproof. They can be used directly on any heat source such as a stovetop gas or electric and with Emile Henry's special induction disk, they can be used on induction tops as well. They can be used on your grill; gas or charcoal, and then placed in the oven; traditional or convection to roast or bake. The stewpots direct heat tolerance is so high that it, unlike most metal, glass or ceramic cookware, can sit on a very hot open flame, empty, for an extended period of time and it wont crack, discolor or break. These vessels are exceptional for browning, searing and slow cooking. They are microwave and dishwasher friendly, easy to clean and extremely durable.
