The lines on the blade reflect an application of 16 layers of micro-thin high-carbon steel making them look and feel like Damascus-Steel knives yet without ever rusting. The blade profile reduces friction resulting in less sticking and damage to your food with faster prep times.

The Shun Classic series features a "D" shape handle to prevent the knife from twisting by following the curves of your hand.
